Pick of the Lizard to Play for Dance at Historic Old Town San Diego's 4th of July Celebration

SAN DIEGO, Calif.—July 2, 2009—Join the fun on Independence Day! Come dance at the "Historic 4th of July Celebration" in San Diego's Old Town State Historic Park.

Live old-time music provided by the dance band Pick of the Lizard; Martha Wild will call the dances, a combination of contra dances, square dances and mixers.

Dressed in period garb, Larry Edwards, fiddle, JoAnn Koppany, banjo, and Richard Chance, guitar, will play dance tunes popular in the 19th century 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the plaza.
