Book Ranked #2 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases for Biographies & Memoirs

Two weeks since the release of my book, Dare I Call It Murder?: A Memoir of Violent Loss, and I want to thank you all for the tremendous support you’ve shown, from your well wishes, to kind words, to purchasing the book.

As I said earlier, this is bittersweet, but I am, for the moment, buoyant and encouraged by the response so far. However, as we in mountain-man historical reenactment circles know first hand, there is also the phenomenon of “flash in the pan.” Whether this momentum sustains itself remains to be seen.

For now, though, I will savor the immediate successes:

Dare I Call It Murder? #2 on Amazon's Hot New Releases
  • It had risen as high as #6 on Amazon’s Best Sellers in Biographies & Memoirs late last week, just below Ernest Hemingway, and as of this morning stood at the #13 spot, sandwiched between Angela's Ashes: A Memoir by Frank McCourt and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.

In today's blog post, I elaborate on this, as well as the Kind Words readers have said about the book and Customer Reviews on Amazon.com, a suggestion for Book Clubs / Discussion Groups, Worldwide Sales and Book Signings in San Diego and Seattle.
